I am a recently qualified, independent filmmaker with a flair for creative ingenuity and an eye for detail. Focusing on meeting client’s core objectives, I strive to tailor the project into a visually compelling and engaging film. Above all, I enjoy producing and editing films and hope to continue to utilise my passion in future projects.
Since graduating with a first class BA (Hons) in Film and Media from the University of Stirling in July 2010, I have pursued my strong interests by seeking local film production projects and creative writing in Dumfries and Galloway. Please take a look at my ‘Films’ section to explore my recent projects.
During my degree, I also created a radio feature, a radio drama and provided voice over and voice acting material, whilst volunteering to read once a month for Rock Talk, an audio newspaper for the blind, in Stirling.
Originally from, West Sussex, I have lived and studied in Oxfordshire, the Isle of Skye, Stirlingshire and Dumfries and Galloway and take enjoyment from experiencing the local and regional ‘quirks’ of each area. Many of my creative ideas are inspired by the intricacies of communities and cultures around me.
Aside from filmmaking, I am an avid equestrian of 20 years, having been involved in University team show jumping and dressage competitions, teaching horseback riding in North Carolina, USA and I have dabbled at playing polo too! I also enjoy creative writing in the form of short stories and scripts, reading, the theatre and playing the flute.
